Tamara Jewett

Triathlon

Based in Toronto, Canada, Tamara started her athletic career as a track runner, and first switched to triathlon midway through 2017 when an injury kept her from running. From 2018 to 2022 she balanced training and competition alongside her job as a lawyer with a major corporate law firm in Toronto. She turned pro in 2019, and in 2023 became a full-time triathlete.

In 2018, in her first full season as an age grouper, she won 70.3 Muskoka and Barrelman. After turning pro in 2019, she placed 3rd at the South American 70.3 Championship and secured a qualifying spot for the 2020 70.3 World Championship. Her first pro Ironman 70.3 win was Timberman in August 2021, which she followed up with a win at Ironman 70.3 Tremblant in June 2022 and 70.3 Oceanside in April 2023. Tamara placed 9th at the 2022 70.3 Ironman World Championship. She became the first woman to break 74 minutes for a 70.3 run split, with a time of 73.08 at Ironman 70.3 Augusta in September 2021.
