Race Like a Pro: Will Newbery’s Marbella World Championship Journey
At the 2025 70.3 World Championships in Marbella, we set out to do more than launch a bike; we set out to bring a pro-level experience to life. Partnering with Classified Cycling and Parcours Wheels, Argon 18 introduced the Special Edition E119, a race-ready performance machine engineered for precision, speed, and unmatched efficiency.
To show what this setup could truly deliver in real race conditions, we selected Age-Group athlete Will Newbery to experience the full Race Like a Pro program. More than just riding the bike, Will trained, prepared, and raced with the same support and insights normally reserved for professional athletes.
A Setup Built to Perform
Will’s race machine featured:

Perfectly balanced for speed and stability in the winds and the Classified system was perfect for the hills of Marbella. The wheels played a huge part in ensuring my legs were as fresh as they were despite some pretty bumpy road surfaces. I have ridden a lot of bikes in my life and I cannot fault this bike at all."

A defining part of the Race Like a Pro journey was the mentorship element. Ahead of the race, pro triathlete Ruth Astle coached Will through key preparation steps; sharing strategy, setup advice, and course-specific insights to help him make the most of the system. In Marbella, Ruth joined Will for a guided course recon, breaking down pacing, positioning, and how to exploit the bike’s strengths on the technical sections.
Alongside Ruth’s support, Will received:
