From September 20 to 27, the UCI Road World Championships take over Montréal. For Argon 18, there is something very special about seeing the biggest stage in road cycling arrive in the city where our story began. 

Argon 18 was founded in Montréal in 1989. More than three decades later, we still design and develop our bikes here in Canada, guided by the same belief that performance comes from purposeful engineering, considered design and an uncompromising attention to detail. 

Throughout the week, we will be following the racing closely. As a long-standing partner of Cycling Canada, we will be there to support the national team as they compete in front of the world. 

Among the riders lining up on Argon 18 bikes will be Canadian professional Jérôme Gauthier of Project Echelon Racing, representing Canada on home roads.

Reigning Icelandic road and time trial champion Davíð Jónsson will also race on an Argon 18. Representing Iceland at the Championships, Jónsson usually races in the colours of Team Cranks, our Danish partner team.

Away from the racing, you can find Argon 18 in the Fan Village at the foot of Mount Royal on Avenue du Parc.

At the centre of our space will be the Cycling Canada Special Edition Nitrogen Pro, created to mark the UCI Road World Championships in Montréal.

Limited to just 26 framesets worldwide, the edition brings a distinctly Canadian identity to our fastest road platform. Its bespoke finish draws on Canadian sporting heritage, while the Argon 18 logo has been reimagined with the maple leaf at its centre.

Beneath the design is the full performance of the Nitrogen Pro. A flow-optimized head tube, deeper aero fork, ATTEN CHB-01 handlebar and integrated bottle cages reduce drag, while a pro-level carbon layup and oversized bottom bracket area support efficient power transfer and race-ready performance.

This special edition is an expression of where we come from, created for one of the biggest moments in Canadian cycling. 

For Argon 18, the maple leaf represents more than a place of origin. It is part of our identity - a connection to the culture, ambition and passion for cycling that have surrounded the brand from the beginning. 

Bringing that identity to the Nitrogen Pro, for a World Championships taking place on familiar roads in Montréal, makes this edition particularly special. 

Argon 18 has been the official bike supplier to the Canadian National Cycling Team since 2017, supporting its road, track and para-cycling programmes. 

Bringing the World Championships to Montréal makes this edition particularly meaningful. It brings together our city, our Canadian roots and a partnership that has seen Argon 18 bikes raced by Canadian athletes on the world stage.
