Argon 18 Appoints Mark Hewitt as new CEO

Argon 18 has appointed former BMC executive Mark Hewitt as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Argon 18, Mr. Hewitt was Chief Operating Officer of BMC, a Switzerland based bike manufacturer. 

“We are very confident that with his vast experience in the cycling industry, Mark will be able to lead the next phase of expansion for Argon 18 and bring new energy and strategic direction to lead us into the future.” says Henrik Lyngbye Pedersen, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Argon 18.

Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Argon 18 designs and manufactures high performance road, gravel, triathlon and track bikes assembled by hand and distributed in more than 70 countries. 

“Argon 18 has as a long history of designing and manufacturing high performance bikes. With a great line-up of existing products and an exciting development pipeline, I look forward to leveraging the brand to be successful in the key strategic markets we are targeting.” says Mr. Hewitt.

Mr. Hewitt will be in function starting July 1st, 2025, and will be based out of the company’s European Headquarters in Lynge, Denmark. In the interim, Chief Financial Officer, Jan Sørensen, will continue to act as CEO.
