THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a dynamic and professional candidate to join our Montreal based team as IT Technician. Reporting to the Head of IT, based in Lynge Denmark, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in the success of the organization by being the go-to resource for local IT needs. The IT Technician will be accountable for maintaining the IT systems, managing the networks and configuring equipment and software, ensuring the business is set up to reach its goals and ambitions.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide software, hardware and operational support to employees, responding to queries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Configure and install workstations, printers, scanners, software and other components and peripherals.
  • Maintain the inventory of computer hardware/software up to date.
  • Identify, recommend and implement process improvement opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives.)
  • Monitor network performance, identify issues and deploy solutions to resolve issues and ensure business continuity.
  • Draft documentation of departmental procedures, policies, processes and configurations.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of good practices in MS Cloud services and IT security (Antivirus (Defender), Networking, Windows Update).
  • Engage in formal and informal knowledge transfer, ensuring that employees are familiar with the tools available to them and use them according to best practices.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, System Administration, Microsoft M365, Cloud services certification or other relevant certification.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bilingualism: French and English mandatory, both spoken and written.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience providing helpdesk services and supporting IT operations with Microsoft environment, Cloud Services.
  • Experience with MS Business Central, an asset
