Assembler (Bike Mechanic) & Quality inspector

THE ROLE

We are currently searching for an Assembler (Bike Mechanic) to join our European production team based in Lynge, Denmark. Reporting to the Senior Assembler, the Assembler is responsible for the assembly of bikes destined for the European market. Furthermore, the incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Quality Director, based out of the head office in Montreal, to assist the team in ensuring the quality and safety of our products before they reach the customer by performing inspections on incoming frames and accessories, and on outbound production.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble road, gravel, triathlon, and track bikes according to company standards.
  • Conduct thorough product inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards and safety requirements.
  • Identify and report non-compliance and issues.
  • Maintain databases of inspection reports and non-compliance.
  • Document inspection results and maintain inspection manuals.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and production team to continuously improve quality.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings with the quality team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1- 2 years experience as a mechanic or assembler in the bicycle industry.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform work standing for long periods of time.
  • Experience as a quality inspector (asset).
  • Ability to follow quality control procedures using applicable tools and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, autonomy, and initiative.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Sharepoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
